Policies

Thank you for doing business with Lively Animal Massage. I hope these policies will ensure a smooth business relationship.

  • Any animal with a medical condition or symptoms must be under the care of a veterinarian for that condition. If a new lameness or musculoskeletal condition develops before your massage appointment, we can reschedule for after your initial vet appointment.

  • I am happy to travel to your home or barn to work with your animal. For small animals, I have an office at Destination Dog, 7 Forge Parkway, Franklin, MA, and I will travel to your home within 30 minutes of Thompson, CT. There is a travel fee for travel longer than 30 minutes, please see below.

  • You should be present for the first massage- it will help your animal relax and we can discuss what I am finding. Dogs and cats always appreciate their owner's presence. Horses are usually fine alone after the first massage- just alert the barn that I am coming and have your horse in his or her stall at the appointment time.

  • Payment by check, cash, or credit card is welcome. Payment is due at time of service. Packages and gift certificates are available.

  • My rates can be found here. Note there are sections for in office and mobile services. To reward commitment, packages are available at discounted rate. I will travel up to 30 minutes without a fee.  Barn call fees may be split among multiple horses at a barn. For small animals, I can try to schedule you on a day I am already travelling to your region, if possible, to minimize the travel charge.

  • Please give 24 hours notice of a cancelled appointment.  I reserve the right to charge for any appointments cancelled without 24 hours notice.

  • Please have your horse in a stall when I arrive. Horses don't need to be groomed, but excessive mud can get in the way and I will need to spend some massage time removing it.

  • My guarantee for new clients: Massage and energy work can't help every condition. But even in these cases, I can give most every animal comfort and ease with their situation. If your animal does not improve in either movement or attitude after two sessions, you may have your money back and cancel remaining sessions.
